As they say, “When it rains it pours.” We are experiencing the death of one-too-many rock stars. We lost Lemmy in December at 70, Natalie Cole in late December, Phil Everly in early January, David Bowie January 10 and now Glenn Frey of the Eagles.
If you believe in Rock and Roll heaven you may have pictured, Bowie interrupting Lemmy quickly saying, “Is the door ringing again, who could it be this time?” To which Lemmy responds, “I’ll pour them a drink.” I’m sure Frey would get the humor?
Frey’s long time partner Don Henley had this to say, “He was like a brother to me; we were family, and like most families, there was some dysfunction. But the bond we forged 45 years ago was never broken. He added … “We built something that has lasted longer than anyone could have dreamed. But Glenn was the one who started it all.” – by John Beaudin
