Queen Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody “is finally happening,” According to Brian May
The guitarist says front-man Adam Lambert is breathing new life into Queen’s legacy and their film “Bohemian Rhapsody.” is going into per-production next week and principle photography will start in London in mid-September.
Mr. Robot star Rami Malek will star as Freddie and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor will serve as executive producers
May says Malek is living and breathing Freddie role which is a tall task to say the least but so far it’s not been announced on who would play Taylor, May and bassist John Deacon.
The band says it’s taken 12 years to get this film started. At one point in the film’s development, Sacha Baron Cohen was set to play the lead role. – by John Beaudin
