Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Dead, Commits Suicide by Hanging

July 20, 2017 – I was just talking to one of our viewers yesterday about how great it was that our channel did not have any major Rock obituaries for a while – unlike last year.

According to TMZ Law enforcement sources are saying the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. They discovered his body this morning (July 20, 2017) Bennington has a history of drug and alcohol problems which he was very transparent about and even admitted to suicidal thoughts in the past. He’s also said that he’d been abused as a child b an older man.

Interestingly Bennington was a close friend to Chris Cornell, who also hanged himself in May.

The singer has 6 kids and had been married twice. He’s been with Linkin Park from the tim most of us heard them on the 2000 debut Hybrid Theory with the big hit “In the End.” They hit the Top 10 again with “Numb” in 2003, “New Divide” two years later. – by John Beaudin
