May 28, 2004 – It should be a busy summer for Bruce Hornsby. The pianist is kicking off a small U.S. tour in July to promote the August release of his new album ‘Halcyon Days.’ As previously reported you can expect to hear a few of Hornsby’s heavy weight music friends on the album including Sting, Elton John and Eric Clapton. John duets on ‘Dreamland’ and Sting will share vocals on ‘Gonna Be Some Changes Made.’ Clapton plays guitar on three tracks and sings one track ‘Candy Mountain Run.’ Hornsby will also kick off a European tour on September 10 in Dublin, Ireland. He is also set to sing the U.S national anthem accompanied by Pat Metheny at this Sunday’s Indiana Pacer-Detroit Pistons playoff game. – by John Beaudin
