Celine Dion Bows Down to Shania Fans, or Does She?

August 22, 2007 - We all know how Celine Dion likes attention and with the release of a new album Nov 13th, I think it's safe to say her attention grabbing habits are at an all time high. Here's the story or rather publicity stunt. Last week Dion told USA Today that the new disc would be called "The Woman In Me" which just happens to be the same name as Shania Twain's smash 1995 Album. Needless to say Shania fans were sweating like hookers in Catholic church and they told two friends and so on. The news lit up chat lines and it was mission accomplished for the woman famous for pounding her chest with each crescendo. The Quebec singer's CD will now be called "Taking Chances" and it's her first english CD in three years. "I think this album represents a positive evolution in my career," Dion says, "I'm feeling strong, maybe a little gutsier than in the past, and just as passionate about music and life as I ever was." Expect Blues and elements of Rock on the disc. Oh, goody, maybe she'll cover AC/DC again! - by John Beaudin
